What is Aura?
Since my family and I got back from the islands last summer, I’ve been crazy busy creating a new app called Aura.
Aura is a personal art notebook.
Aura is also social art awareness.
On the personal side, when you’re at a museum, do you take pictures of art? It’s great for showing something to your family, but… who was the artist? And even if you take pictures of placards, you still can’t find by artist or title.
Aura solves these problems with ease. Just use Aura’s simple interface to take a picture of the artwork and info placard.
Aura will group the photos together into a memory, scan the placards to pre-populate your notes, and enable you to structure your notes to suit your needs.
Notes make it easy to recall your art memories.
On the social side, for each memory created, Aura also logs location information, such as GPS (outdoor or indoor) and beacon proximities. This information will be used to match memories together, and to identify artworks around you, making it even easier to remember, study, and share fine art.
I’m so proud to be part of Aura, because our team is dedicated to serving the art lover, and our business model feels good, too. We’re putting the final touches into a 1.0 and I’ll post again when it’s live.
If you’ve read this far, and want to beta test, contact me directly with your AppleID, and I’ll get you set up on TestFlight.
If you want to stay in the know, sign up for our newsletter at our home page http://aura.com.
If you’re into tech and art and want to meet the team, ping me directly deeje@aura.com
And if you’re *still* reading, I’ll be catching up on our history and chronicling our growth here, and I hope you’ll tune in!
